Watch for Wednesday

Ok here are the books I am watching for this week. I have a few since last time. This month is adult books. So here we go

TITLE : The Strangler
AUTHOR: William Landay
PUB. DATE: June 12 paperback

SUMMARY: Boston, 1963. Meet the charming, brawling Daley brothers. Joe is a cop whose gambling habits have dragged him down into the city’s underworld. Michael is a lawyer, always the smartest man in the room. And Ricky is the youngest son, a prince of thieves whose latest heist may be his last. For the Daleys, crime is the family business—they’re simply on different sides of it. Then a killer, a man who hunts women with brutal efficiency and no sign of stopping, strikes too close to the Daley home. The brothers unite to find the Strangler, a journey that leads to the darkest corners of Boston—and exposes an even deeper mystery that threatens to tear the family apart.

SIDE NOTES: I am a big fan of anything written about my hometown. This looks good at least to me I will get it in June and I am sure I will read it right away.

TITLE: The Stranger You Seek
AUTHOR: Amanda Kyle Williams
PUB. Date May 29 MM Paperback

SUMMARY : In the sweltering heat of an Atlanta summer, a killer is pushing the city to its breaking point, preying on the unsuspecting, writing taunting letters to the media, promising more death. Desperate to stop the Wishbone Killer, A.P.D. lieutenant Aaron Rauser turns to the one person he knows can penetrate a deranged mind: Keye Street, an ex–FBI profiler and former addict who now picks up jobs where she can get them. But the last thing Keye wants is to be pulled into the firestorm of Atlanta’s worst nightmare. And then it suddenly becomes clear that the hunter has become the hunted—and the stranger she seeks is far closer than she ever dared imagine.

SIDE NOTES: I like the description of this book. I also like the cover. Looks just like a book I can really get drawn into.

TITLE: The Nightmare Thief
AUTHOR: Meg Gardiner
PUB. DATE: June 5

SUMMARY: Autumn Reiniger expects something special for her twenty-first birthday. Daddy's already bought her the sports car, the apartment, and admission to the private college where she parties away her weekends. Now she wants excitement, and she's going to get it.

Her father signs up Autumn and five friends for an "ultimate urban reality" game: a simulated drug deal, manhunt, and jailbreak. It's a high-priced version of cops and robbers, played with fake guns and fast cars on the streets of San Francisco. Edge Adventures alerts the SFPD ahead of time that a "crime situation" is underway, so the authorities can ignore the squealing tires and desperate cries for help.

Which is convenient for the gang of real kidnappers zeroing in on their target and a mammoth payday. Because what Daddy doesn't know is that someone has spotted his hedge fund's bulging profits, and the path to those riches runs right through Daddy's Little Girl.

Working on a case nearby is forensic psychiatrist Jo Beckett and her partner Gabe Quintana. When the pair encounters a suspicious group of men carting six sullen college kids to the woods for a supposed wilderness adventure, alarm bells ring. Jo takes a closer look, and winds up with an invite to Autumn Reiniger's twenty-first birthday party-a party they may never leave.

SIDE NOTES: This looks like a great book with a interesting plot. This author is new to me so I will see how it works out when I get it.

First this is a rare Friday post. I am almost finished "Darker Than Night " by John Lutz. I do have to change my April Reads.  I will not be reading "An Ice Cold Grave" By  Charlaine Harris. Like most of you I have stacks and stacks of books in my house and I have misplaced my copy of the book. I will add it when I find it. So I added a diffrent book. "Deep Freeze" By Thom Racina.

Second I will have a longer Watch for Wednesday this week because I missed last Wednesday. I ordered some books from Amazon and I noticed I reordered a book so that means we will have another giveaway   YEAHHHHHHHHHH. The last one went well but I will be promoting this one eveywhere I can to gain more members.

Update Monday #12

Well, I have not been reading as much as I should this week and that is because I am working more (my boss is out this week so I am doing his job too) The good thing is I have 2 days off coming up and do plan on catching up on my reading. I also have to do my spring cleaning this week. So I have a full plate this week so I will not be posting on Wednesday but I will make up for it. I also have been getting a ton of free books for my Kindle so I am going to start using that to read. So I will let you know what I am up too later this week. Now where did I put that book?

The police suspect that the rapist may have been caught on video in the subway, so Louise and a colleague go through the tapes. While the police investigation is making progress, things take a negative turn for Susanne, who tries to commit suicide. The rape is not the only reason.
In the meantime Louise becomes more and more immersed in the online dating world. In her search she comes across the web site “nightwatch.dk,” which allows her to upload images that show people out in the night-time scene and who they’re with. She finds a picture of the man, who is now calling himself “Prinzz.” She contacts him using the name “Princess,” and they agree to meet.
