Sisters uncover an unbelievable family secret
Barbara “Babie” Bunting is constantly mistaken for her sisters, but she’s determined not to end up like her family. She doesn’t plan to stick around Shallow Pond after graduation, and she certainly won’t be ruined by a broken heart. That is, until fellow orphan Zach Faraday walks into the picture, and Babie can’t deny their chemistry.
When her oldest sister, Annie, comes down with a mysterious illness—initially dismissed as “love sickness”—Babie and Zach start investigating what exactly killed the girls’ mother and why their late father became so consumed by grief. What they find changes everything.

My Review : What can I say about this book. I was drawn in but did not know what to expect. I was shocked by the end. This book started slow but when it pick up it was amazing. I understand Barbara because I was a lot like her in some aspects. I lived in a small town were everyone knew everyone. The plan at a young age was to escape and move on with my life. I did that and I cheered each time "Babie" confirmed her plan to move on. Trying to not let anything hold her back. Then she meets Zach (A walking magazine add) perfect in everyway. I was conflicted as was Barbara.
I also liked the roles her sisters played Annie ( the mother figure) Gracie ( the boy crazy flake ) they added some craziness to the plot with there antics and tragedies but still a great plot with twist and turns I did not see coming or expect. When it ended I loved how all the lose ends were tied up in a neat package and wish life was like that for everyone.
